CONSERVING THE HOLOBIONT

   Oggi, mentre oltre la metà degli esseri umani sono bloccati a causa della diffusione di Covid-19 che è correlata alle alterazioni ambientali, ho trovato questo documento stimolante che evidenzia come la natura sia profondamente radicata all'interno di ognuno di noi e come ciascuna specie sia indissolubilmente legate a tante altre attraverso complesse interazioni. Conservare la natura nel suo insieme, dagli organismi più semplici a quelli più complessi, nonché gli habitat in cui vivono, è indispensabile per proteggere gli ecosistemi e l'umanità.

Today, while more than half of the human beings are in lock down because the Covid-19 spreading that is related to environmental alterations, I have found this inspiring paper that highlights how nature is deep routed inside each one of us and that species are connected to each other through complex interactions. Conserving nature as a whole, from the most simple to the most complex organisms as well as the habitats where they live, is imperative for securing ecosystems and the mankind.
