Dynamics of nectar production and interaction with pollinators in tropical forest and cerrado species in Brazil

The dynamics of production and the composition of nectar (i.e. the temporal variations of these traits) and how these characteristics influence interaction with pollinators are studied in focal species of ecological interest belonging to the Bignoniaceae and Bromeliaceae families that grow in natural habitats in Brazil.

For this research line the MAEC Lab collaborates with: Department of Botany, Sao Paulo State University, Institute of Biosciences, Botucatu (Brazil); Institute of Botany, University of Campinas, Campinas (Brazil).
