EMANUELE GIORDANO

Graduated in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Sustainability in 2015 at the University of Siena with the vote of 110/110 with honors. Graduated in Law at the Roma Tre University with a score of 110/110 with honors. I was scientific consultant for La Marzocco srl.
During the PhD I dealt with the influence of inorganic ions on the solubility of low molecular weight organic molecules and liquid chromatography techniques coupled with DAD and MS detectors. Currently I am a research fellow at the MAEC Laboratory and I take care, under the scientific direction of Professor Nepi, of the study of plant-insect communication, in particular the one mediated by nectar, both floral and extra-floral.
My current research interests also concern the investigation of the role of inorganic ions in nectar and the influence of atmospheric conditions on the secondary metabolites of plants. In particular, the aspects listed above are investigated through the determination with various analytical techniques (especially liquid chromatography) of the primary and secondary metabolites in plant and animal matrices.
